就算讓卓拉蒙格林、伊戈達拉兩名主力休兵，勇士仍然戰力強大！柯瑞昨拿25分，克雷湯普生也有21分，勇士終以108比95輕取公鹿，除奪9連勝，更以60勝13敗提前搶占西區第1，同時改寫隊史單季最多勝場紀錄。
「輸贏或許不會影響排名，但我們仍想全力奪勝，」柯瑞說，「當季後賽開打，我們將以最佳狀態應戰，所以剩下9場例行賽，對我們仍是考驗。」勇士目前領先西區第2灰熊10場勝差，獨強態勢明顯。
勇士成為史上第13支能在第73場例行賽搶到60勝以上球隊，先前完成這項紀錄的12隊，其中9隊最後成功奪冠，勇士前鋒大衛李說：「今年我們最終目標是成為總冠軍等級隊伍，如今我們辦公用品採購逐漸接近目標。」

相較於勇士的強勢，尼克如同「落水狗」！尼克昨以80比111慘遭公牛痛扁，苦吞本季第60敗（14敗），改寫隊史最多敗場紀錄，尼克後衛蓋洛威說：「我無話可說，唯一我能控制的只有繼續拚下去。」
